Greatbatch Limited trading as Letterbox Distribution
(“the Company”)
1. Purpose
This Schedule sets out the terms under which Greatbatch Limited trading as Letterbox Distribution (“Letterbox”) arranges postal services using Royal Mail or other third-party postal operators on behalf of clients.
This Schedule forms part of, and should be read in conjunction with, Letterbox’s Master Terms and Conditions.
2. Scope of postal services
Letterbox may, where requested by the client, arrange for items to be distributed using:
- Royal Mail; and/or
- Other third-party postal operators or carriers.
Letterbox acts solely as an intermediary in arranging such postal services unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
3. Application of third-party terms
Where services are carried out by Royal Mail or another third-party postal operator:
- The service will be subject to the terms, conditions, limitations and service standards of the relevant postal operator.
- Letterbox does not control the performance, delivery times, or operational processes of third-party postal operators.
- Any delivery estimates provided by Letterbox are indicative only and not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing.
4. Liability and responsibility
Letterbox shall not be liable for:
- Delays, losses, damage, mis-delivery or non-delivery caused by Royal Mail or any third-party postal operator;
- Industrial action, operational failure, weather events or force majeure affecting postal services;
- Any consequential or indirect loss arising from the use of third-party postal services.
Any claims relating to postal delivery performance shall be subject to the relevant postal operator’s terms and compensation limits.
5. Proof of posting and tracking
Where available, Letterbox may provide:
- Proof of posting;
- Batch confirmations; or
- Tracking information supplied by the postal operator.
The level of tracking or confirmation available is determined by the service selected and the postal operator’s offering.
6. Client obligations
The client is responsible for ensuring that:
- All materials comply with Royal Mail or third-party postal specifications;
- Content is lawful and complies with all applicable regulations;
- Address data supplied is accurate, complete and correctly formatted.
Letterbox shall not be responsible for errors arising from inaccurate or incomplete data supplied by the client.
7. Postal charges and price changes
- Postal charges are subject to change by Royal Mail or third-party postal operators at any time.
- Any increase in postal rates may be passed on to the client.
- Letterbox reserves the right to revise quoted prices if postal rates change prior to posting.
8. Suspension or refusal of postal services
Letterbox reserves the right to suspend or refuse to arrange postal services where:
- Materials do not comply with postal regulations;
- Payment terms have not been met;
- There is a reasonable concern regarding legality, safety, or reputational risk.
9. Governing terms
This Schedule forms part of Letterbox’s contractual framework and shall be governed by the same governing law and jurisdiction as the Master Terms and Conditions.
10. Approval and review
This Schedule is approved by the Directors of Greatbatch Limited trading as Letterbox Distribution and is reviewed periodically to ensure ongoing compliance with postal regulations and operational requirements.
